Suggesstions on License compliance

I have started an open source project, and want to make sure I am 100% in compliance with the licensing. Exactly what should I be looking for? This is the first time I have ever started a project and dont want to make basic mistakes that will bite me later.

From what I can see on the license page, I can license for myself and my development work easily enough, but how would this work for someone who downloads the project and uses it for themselves or their company?
