Condition Lines

I’m looking to add what is called a condition line to a chart. My chart has an Axis of dates, I want to annotate a verticle line at a given date that denotes an underlying change to the data. Would be nice to be able to add a text label for the annotation as well.

It looks like scaleBreaks gets close, but I don’t want to indicate a break in the dates, just an underlying change in the data itself.. For example, I’m charting results for June, but on June 15th the collection process changed, which ‘could’ account for the results trending on the line chart being dramatically different.

To be clear, I don’t expect the chart itself to detect it. I would draw the chart as normal, but want to be able to specify a point on the axis to annotate a line/label.

@jeffe,

You can use striplines to draw a vertical or horizontal lines at a specific position on the axis. You can also add label to the same to show some text to it.
