Tagged: hide axis rangeArea
Hallo,
I try to display binary signals with the canvasjs chart in binary strips. Each binary signal is presented by a rangeArea series. The y axis for each series gets customized to display each strip below the previous one.
I created a jsfiddle to demonstrate the idea https://jsfiddle.net/Volker_Voss_TechnoStep/hqeasb5y/119/
Based on the ideas of this forum topics on this web sites https://canvasjs.com/forums/topic/hide-axis-label/ https://stackoverflow.com/questions/58764680/how-to-remove-y-axis-completely-from-canavasjs-chart I try to hide the Y axis of the series completely. Unfortunately the chart still reserves space for the hidden Y axises.
My question is: Is there an additionally property to set, to prevent the chart to reserve space for the hidden Y axises?
Best regards, Volker Voß

You can prevent the chart to reserve space for the hidden axes by setting negative values to the axis margin as shown in this below code snippet
axisY: { margin: -5 },
Also take a look at this updatedJSFiddle for complete code.
