License FAQ

1. If an employee leaves, do we have to purchase additional license for new employee?

Not at all. We count developers by number of seats, not the individual. If a current employee is replaced by another employee, it will be still counted as one developer. However if you add additional team members who work on CanvasJS you may have to purchase additional license. The total number of developers working with CanvasJS should not cross the number of developers supported by the license purchased.

2. What is the difference between Priority Support and Forum based support?

We offer priority support through email, with guaranteed response within 24 hours on working days. You also get hot fixes and early access to upcoming features(upon request). Standard forum based support is free and we try to reply as soon as possible but without fixed turnaround time.

3. How to download the Commercial Version?

After purchasing the license, you can download the Commercial Version from your Account Page. You would receive an email stating the same. In case you haven't received it, please check your spam folder.

4. I'm really sold on CanvasJS, but I need to convince the rest of my team. Can you help me?

Yes definitely! Please drop us a line(sales@canvasjs.com) about the kind of help you need and we'll get you the right information. You can also directly schedule a call via this link.

5. Do you offer customized license agreement?

Yes. Please get in touch with sales@canvasjs.com to discuss your requirement.


Payment

1. Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept online payments through Credit or Debit Cards(Visa, MasterCard, American Express etc) and PayPal. If you don't have a credit card (offline payments) you can make payment through ACH or wire transfers. To arrange offline payments, or if you have any questions, please contact sales@canvasjs.com

2. Do you have FREE licenses?

Yes. If you are looking to use CanvasJS non-commercially in your personal hobby project or for non-profit organisation, you don't need to purchase a license. Just make sure to keep the credit link intact.

3. Do you offer discounts for CanvasJS?

Yes, we offer discounts to startups. You can check the eligibility criteria and apply at https://canvasjs.com/apply/startup/

4. Should I purchase CanvasJS directly through you or through your local partners?

You can do either. However some reseller may charge additional service fee.

5. What is your refund policy?

We want to ensure that you are 100% happy with your purchase. Hence, all licenses come with 60 days of unconditional money back guarantee. In case you have any technical questions, do not hesitate to contact us. However, if you feel that the product is not the best fit for your requirement, do contact us and we'll refund the same. For refund requests please contact us at sales@canvasjs.com

6. I need to submit a quote to our purchasing department. Can you send me one?

Sure. Please write to sales@canvasjs.com with your name, company name, address, phone number, tax ID(if any) and details of the license you want to purchase and we will send you a quote.

7. Can I purchase through a reseller?

Yes. Many companies purchase CanvasJS through resellers. SoftwareONE, SHI, TEGARA, INSIGHT are some of the popular resellers. There is a high probability that your current software vendor is a CanvasJS reseller, just ask them. Make sure you explain exactly which CanvasJS license you need. If you want list of established resellers in your area, you can write to sales@canvasjs.com

8. Will I receive an official invoice?

Yes, you will receive a receipt by email.


Integration

1. Do you provide a license key for activation of commercial license?

CanvasJS commercial version comes with pre-activated license and does not require a key. We follow this method because of data security and privacy reasons. CanvasJS is a self hosted library and does not collect/pass any data from your servers/applications. As soon as you make the purchase, you can download the commercial version and start using it right away.

2. I'm currently using free version of your product. Will I need to change anything in my code in order to use commercial version?

No. Just replacing the CanvasJS script file with the commercial version available in your account page should be enough. Make sure the script path is properly configured and also clear the browser cache.

3. When can I download Commercial Version?

If you use online payment options like Credit card or PayPal you will be able to download the CanvasJS library immediately after the order is processed. In rare cases, it might take slightly longer till the payment is cleared by the payment processor.
